Why BuildTrusted exists.
BuildTrusted was started by Ondrej Tyrpak, Founder of BuildTrusted and AlphaOmega Constructors B.V. It grew out of personal experience of how much weight we place on trust when we build, and how exposed people feel when there is little evidence to go on.
A personal starting point
Building or renovating is rarely only a technical decision. It involves money that took years to earn, a home people live in, and a great deal of trust placed in others.
Ondrej Tyrpak went through difficult experiences of his own in which trust, money and building work came together. Those experiences are not told here in detail, and no one else is named or blamed for them. What they made unmistakably clear is how vulnerable anyone can feel when there is no clear evidence of who someone is, what they have done before, and who remains accountable when something goes wrong.
That feeling — not resentment towards anyone — is where BuildTrusted began.
Then the same problem, seen from the other side
Running AlphaOmega Constructors in the Netherlands showed the other half of the picture. Clients repeatedly asked the same questions: who is genuinely available, who has done this kind of work before, whose paperwork is in order, and who will still answer the phone in six months.
At the same time, professionals who consistently did careful work had no practical way to carry that record with them. Every new client started from zero, and visibility often went to whoever advertised loudest rather than to whoever worked best.
Both sides were asking for the same thing in different words: clarity. Clients need clarity to choose. Professionals need a fair way to demonstrate that they are reliable.
What was tried first
Existing lead platforms were used, and the pattern was consistent: one request sold to several companies at once, everyone chasing the same client, and no one accountable for whether the match made sense.
More leads never solved the information problem. What was missing was someone willing to look at the request, look at the professional, and be honest about what had actually been checked — and about what had not.
The constructive response
BuildTrusted is that response. A project is described once, a person reviews it, and only professionals suited to the work, the region and the timing are invited.
The rule that shapes everything else is that a label must never say more than the evidence behind it. Submitted, checked and verified mean three different things, and BuildTrusted will not blur them to look more impressive.
It is deliberately not built as a shop window for AlphaOmega Constructors. AlphaOmega is the initiator and is held to exactly the same checks as anyone else.
The mission
Contribute to a world in which 100 million people feel more trusted, valued and recognised.
That is an ambition, not a claim about what has been achieved. It is stated here so it can be measured against what BuildTrusted actually does.
The principles this is built on
- Say what has been checked, and say what has not.
- A person reviews every introduction — not an algorithm alone.
- No bought positions, no paid ratings, no invented reviews.
- Contact details stay private until both sides agree to an introduction.
- Publish no member counts, testimonials or scores that have not been earned.
- Start small enough that every request gets real attention.
What this does not promise
Checking information reduces uncertainty; it does not remove risk. BuildTrusted does not guarantee workmanship, price, timing or the outcome of a project, and it is not a party to the agreement between a client and a professional.
Anyone who tells you that a verification badge makes a bad outcome impossible is overselling. BuildTrusted would rather be useful than impressive.
Where it stands today
BuildTrusted is an early-stage pilot in the Netherlands with selected clients and Founding Professionals. Parts of the platform are still being built.
That is stated plainly on purpose. A network about trust that overstated its own maturity would be arguing against itself.
